If you think airlines serve bland food it's not necessarily their fault. Taste buds and sense of smell are the first things to go at 30,000 feet as the cabin pressure dulls your sense of sweet and salty.
When it comes to in-flight cocktails more than one study has found that tomato juice or Bloody Mary mix with its umami-rich flavour is one of the few things that still tastes as it's intended...the addition of vodka is entirely up to you!
If you really want to go the extra mile, bring your own Bloody Mary Cocktail kit on board, complete with mini bottle of Tabasco, lemon wedge, celery stick and some celery salt.
